Dallas World Aquarium Getting There: From Dallas Zoo Station take N - Red Line - Parker Road to West End Station. Walk three minutes north on Griffin St. Main Attractions: Exhibits on creatures of the Maya, South Africa, and Borneo

Six Flags Over Texas Getting There: Take the 1-30 W about 20 miles (No mass transit available) Main Attractions: The adventurous members in your family will thrill to gravity-defying rollercoasters, games, and much more. You could easily spend an entire day here, so it's best to have a car.

Pinewood Derby at the Texas Museum of Automotive History Getting There: From Pearl Station, take S - Green Line - Buckner Station to Fair Park Station. Walk to the Texas Museum of Automotive History. Main Attractions: For $5, your child can learn how to create an authentic pinewood derby car, which he or she can then race. The Pinewood Derby runs from 10AM to 2PM on Saturdays.
Dallas Children's Museum Getting There: The Dallas Children's Museum is inside the Museum of Nature & Science, which is also inside Fair Park. Just follow the signs. Main Attractions: Hands-on exhibits where children can become farmers, learn the importance of water, explore the world of working adults, get a taste of the theatre, and get a crash course in physics.

Sixth Floor Museum Getting There: From Pearl Station take N - Green Line - North Carrollton to West End Station. Walk west toward Dealy Plaza. Main Attractions: Learn about the life of JFK leading up to his presidency, the investigation into his assassination, and much more through photographs, movies, newspaper clipping, and other mediums.
Dallas Holocaust Museum Getting There: The museum is also in Dealy Plaza, across from the Sixth Floor Museum Main Attractions: The Dallas Holocaust museum is just as much a celebration of Jewish culture and heritage as it is a memorial for the millions of lives lost during the Holocaust. The museum is a powerful reminder of the true cost of WW2, as well as an important history lesson.
Nasher Sculpture Center Getting There: From the Dallas Holocaust Museum, walk east down Ross Ave for about 18 minutes. Main Attractions: Marvel at Elliott Hundley's interpretation of The Bacchae, then move through the rest of the Center and examine other fine works of three-dimensional art.

Winspear Opera House Getting There: Proceed north on Flora St past the Morton H Meyerson Symphony Center Main Attractions: Revel in live performances of classics like La Traviata and The Magic Flute.
